Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information bridgettemercedes.com collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. I only collect what I need to send you updates, answer your messages, and get your books to you, and I never sell your information.

Information I collect

  • Email sign-ups: your name (if you give it) and email address, when you join my email list.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.

  • Store orders: your name, email address, shipping address, and order details. Payments are handled by Stripe, so I never see or store your full card number.

  • Automatic information: like most websites, my site host (Squarespace) collects basic technical data when you visit, such as your browser type, device, general location, and the pages you view.

How I use it

  • To send you book news, release updates, and occasional emails you signed up for

  • To reply to your messages

  • To process, ship, and follow up on your orders

  • To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it

I don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don't use it for anything you didn't sign up for.

Who I share it with

I only share your information with the services that help me run the site and fill orders:

  • Squarespace, which hosts my website, forms, and store

  • Stripe, which processes payments

  • Shipping carriers (such as USPS), which need your name and address to deliver your order

Each of these has its own privacy policy. I may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

Squarespace uses cookies to keep the site and store working (like remembering your cart) and to give me basic visitor statistics. I don't use advertising trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the store may not work without them.

Do Not Track: my site doesn't currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

International visitors

I'm based in the United States, and my website services store information in the U.S. If you visit or order from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed there. If you live in a region with its own privacy rights (such as the EU or UK), you can contact me to use them.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from my emails anytime using the link in any email, or by contacting me.

  • Ask to see, correct, or delete the information I have about you by emailing me. I'll respond within 30 days.

  • I keep order records as long as needed for taxes and bookkeeping, and email list information until you unsubscribe.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
